My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Paris is on the search for her fur-ever home! We believe she is around 5 1/2 years old but do not know exact age due to having very little medical history. She is about 12 pounds.

Paris is an overall healthy gal, but she did have eye surgery when she first came to us. She had some ocular discharge and her vets recommended bilateral entropion surgery. She is recovered from that now and her eyes seem to be much more comfortable!

We also performed bloodwork on Paris since she is slightly older. She does have a single liver value that is slightly high we have been monitoring but she does not need medications or supplements for this at this time.

Paris did come from a home with a lot of other dogs, so she is used to living in a home environment and seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs. She is currently in a foster home with another dog where she is doing really well and learning to walk on leash and get used to a daily routine.
Paris will still need some more time to adjust and help with socializing in her new home. She can be a little shy at first but warms up rather quickly and then loves everyone.

At this time we feel a home with another dog would be best for Paris as that is what she is the most used to. She is still learning her leash skills and is a dog that would most likely bolt if she got loose , so a home with a fenced in yard would also be most ideal for her.

An approved adoption application is required. The $225 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; heartworm and tick disease testing; fecal w/ giardia testing, monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention . Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
