My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zappa, like his namesake, has a big personality. He is the king of head boops and loves nothing more than scratches on his big noggin. He likes to be the center of attention.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

You can see animals that you are interested in online. Filling out an application does not commit you to a specific animal.

2.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Once you have filled out the application, come in and meet the animals. You can change which animal you've applied for!

3.

Interview

While we do not do a formal interview, when you meet the animals, we may ask questions about your family to ensure a great fit!

4.

Approve Application

We process applications Monday-Friday, in the order received. It takes approximately 24-48 business hours to approve.

5.

Meet the Pet

Once you have been approved, we may do a meet-and-greet with resident animals, and all members of the household to ensure a great fit!

6.

Sign Adoption Contract

Sign the adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and then you get to take your new family member home!

Additional adoption info

All cats are required to be indoor only cats unless stated otherwise.

Go meet their pets

Our facility is open to the public from 11-4 daily, with the exception of major holidays.

We also have a thrift store in our building - 100% of the proceeds from this go directly into the shelter. The thrift store is open Tuesday-Sunday from 10:30-6.

More about this shelter

Intermountain Humane Society is a limited admission facility. We accept animals into our facility based on space availability and the age/temperment/health of the animal.
