SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Daisy Mae is a perfect little girl! Not only is she adorable, but she is super sweet and playful. She came to us recently along with her "brother", Dusty, from an owner who no longer wanted them. He had first gotten the dogs for hunting, and then later they became house pets, and both are housebroken. Recent lifestyle changes left the dogs alone for long periods of time, and the owner felt they needed to be given another home. It is our pleasure to serve both of these very sweet, quiet, clean and well behaved dogs, and to find each one of them a family to love and cherish them. Daisy Mae is fully grown at just over 20 pounds and is a perfect size for most homes! She is in good health, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an adopter who loves sloppy kisses, excessive tag wags, clean rugs, a couch companion and changing the world for a loving dog! A home with fenced, secure yard is a plus, but Daisy Mae walks well on a leash and is very well behaved with other animals and people of all sizes. She will fit nicely into most homes.

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Daisy Mae as well as our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting for you and your family to meet her at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting her and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
