Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amber is a black cat from a litter of 4. She was named for her amber colored eyes. Amber is the smallest of her litter and she doesn't partake in the rough play as much as the other two. She is instead a more curious and exploratory kind of cat. You can often find her jumping onto cabinets, window frames, counters, and she will always be the first cat to explore a new room and hide herself in whatever spot she finds comfy. Amber might be the sweetest of the bunch as she often lets you pick her up and cradle her like a baby. She also has the sweetest little quirk where if you're laying down or sitting down next to her, she will find a way to cozy up on top of you or beside you. When she is with you in this way, it will seem like she's watching whatever you're watching on your phone or TV. Amber is perfect for a home looking for a sweet little baby that they can pamper and spoil like she deserves.

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
