My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile:  Jackie is a 3.5-month-old whippet/rat terrier mix. This sweet, sassy gir likes nothing better than being beside you or on your lap. She's good with dogs, cats, and dog-savvy kids.

Foster Update: Jackie is a sweet, spunky, and loving puppy. She is a champ at pottying outside and is great in crate. She is food motivated and has quickly learned sit. She loves other dogs and has done great both on walks and playing with resident dogs. She would enjoy being in a home with other dogs but not mandatory. She enjoys a walk, but with the rain prefers a short walk with an indoor play session, and then a nap. She’s been so wonderful hanging in my office while I work from home. If her cuteness doesn’t make you fall in love with her, her desire to just follow you around the house wagging her tail may seal the deal. Jackie would love a home with a fenced yard and another canine companion, but not mandatory for the right home.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.

Animal History: This dog was originally transferred from a kill shelter in Hawaii and joined us from Kauai Humane Society rescue partner, arriving to Seattle on October 2, 2024. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
