Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Buffy is well known to our rescue, coming to us from Houston six years ago, and now finds herself back with us through no fault of her own. She was adopted by a volunteer who eventually went on to found a grooming shop, naming it after her....Buffy's Bubbles :) But starting a business during Covid was hard to recover from, and she has had to close shop, now finding herself between residences and needing our help. Buffy is used to being a loved pet and is thereby now available for adoption, this preferable to being stuck in foster care indefinitely.
Personality plus, Buffy, a striking mocha merle Catahoula/Pit mix, is a very tidy size at only 20" at the shoulder, and at age seven is the perfect medium....she still has verve and is up for whatever you are into (loves hikes and adventures), but also loves to snooze curled on the couch next to you. She is definitely a more mellow version than when she was first with us, lol!, and comes with all the perks one would expect an established pet to have - housebroken, crate trained, good on a leash and overall easy to handle. She will bark hearing outside sounds, but her bark is soft and she is overall not very noisy. Buffy loves all people, greeting everyone with enthusiasm and a purity of heart. and is a very social girl with endless charm. She is just a treat to hang out with! While she has lived with other dogs for years, due to occasional incidences where she has gotten overstimulated in arousing situations with a fight ensuing, she should be in an only pet home, although in terms of being out and about and going to places other on leash dogs frequent, she certainly can attend. She is better on leash walks than being put out in a yard as in the past she has lived next to dogs who were fence fighters, and as a consequence can get a little riled up behind a fence line, proving far more relaxed and enjoying herself walking on leash. If you enjoy long walks, she is the perfect dog for you.
Current on her vet work, and of course spayed, Buffy is all set to go on her next adventure. Her adoption fee is $450. For questions, or to request an application, please contact Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com. Due to state restrictions, we unfortunately cannot adopt to Massachusetts or New Hampshire residents.
