Sabrina didn’t hold back her gratitude when we took her outside. She showered us in kisses, and we mean smothered! If you let her, she’ll thank you with all the love she’s been saving up, and honestly, who could blame her. These pups don’t get the chance to be outside every day, and for dogs like Sabrina who soak up all the attention, a little fresh air and human companionship is everything. Sabrina did all the looking around and exploring, scooting around, but always made sure to double back for—you guessed it—more kisses. She is just a puppy but one with pretty good manners, sitting sweetly for treats, taking them gently, and giving us paw. Sabrina is another delightful pup needing a home.
Came in as a stray on 9/12/24.
Found near 6300 N. Sacramento
Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL
Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information.
The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.
Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
