My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darling Dixie came to us from an owner who relinquished her by no fault of her own. They loved her, but did not have the ability to keep her. This is a sweet girl who is good with people & other dogs. She loves to play ball! Her approx. birth date is 03/17/21 and she currently weighs 60# full grown.
She has been vet. checked, spayed, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She is heart worm & tick born illlness negative. Dixie has juvenile cataracts which have no treatment. She sees and gets around just fine, but does have some site issues that are noticeable during play.
Her adoption donation is $200 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. Any extra funds collected in his adoption donation not used for her vetting, will go into our general vetting fund for other dogs in need. We do not ship or transport.

A phone interview with an adoption coordinator is required.

If approved, we will set up an appointment for you to meet the pet. If everything goes well, you will be able to take them home the same day

We do NOT accept personal checks. We accept cash, certified check, money order and debit/credit cards (with a 3% processing fee).

3 references and a vet reference is required. If you do not own your home, landlord approval is also required.

We are a volunteer operated non profit dog rescue located in Northern Indiana. We are a NO KILL rescue with a mission to spay or neuter every dog that comes through our rescue. Our mission is a direct response to counteract the overpopulation of unwanted dogs.
