My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello everyone! My name is Karma and I’m a spirited two-year-old Texas Heeler (a mix of Australian Shepherd and Cattle Dog), and I weigh 25 lbs. of pure energy! If you’re looking for a playful companion who’s always on the move, I’m your girl!

I can be a little shy when we first meet, but don’t worry—I warm up quickly once I feel your love and kindness. I’m great with both dogs and cats, so if you have furry friends at home, we’ll get along just fine!

I’m also house-trained, which means I know the ropes and am ready to settle into my new home. I love to explore, play, and snuggle up after a day of fun.

If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will bring joy and adventure into your life, let’s make some amazing memories together! Adopt me, and let’s start our journey!

Additional adoption info

The process to adopt/foster dogs and cats is different. Please speak to the volunteer assisting you in the adoption process to confirm details about the process.

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events every weekend in the DC/Baltimore Metro Area and also schedule private meet and greets once a potential adopter/foster has applied for a specific dog or cat.
