My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Charlie and I'm about 8-1/2 months old. I was rescued by Bond County Humane Society from Montgomery County Animal Control. I was at Montgomery County Animal Control because I had been abandoned. I am friendly and get excited when I meet new people. I like to play and run in the yard. It helps me get rid of some of my energy. I especially like to play my version of fetch. I have been good playing with another dog at the shelter. I have seen cats, but have not been up close and personal to one. I am working on my manners. I do know "Sit". I am very smart and willing to learn. I have not been around small children so I will need supervision. I might be house trained, but not sure. I will need someone who is patient with me and helps me understand I won't be abandoned again. I am available for immediate adoption. I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped. My adoption fee is $250. Additional adoption info

Our adoption process requires the completion and approval of an adopter's profile form. This form can be obtained in person or on-line at our web site, www.bondcohs.petfinder.com. It can be completed and e-mailed to the address provided for review. We have a standard adoption agreement. Dog adoption fees vary depending on breed, and age of dog. They generally range from $125 to $250. Cat adoption fees are $90 for kittens (under 1 year of age), $55 for adult cats that have been housed at the shelter for 1 year or less. Adoption fees for cats that have been housed at the shelter for multiple years are by donation.

We conduct off-site adoptions on Saturdays at the following locations:

PETCO - Fairview Heights, IL
Every Saturday, 11-3 (except holiday weekends)

Shelter hours are 1-5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Sunday is ONLY by appointment.
