Buddy lead a charmed life for the past decade - he had a Mama who loved him so much and would cook eggs for him every morning and doted on him. Sadly, she passed away and now Buddy is left missing her but also eager to share the second half of his life with an equally wonderful human.
He is a wallflower. He is mostly like compared to Mr. Snuffleupagus from Sesame Street. He does not make a sound and prefers a fluffy doggy bed in which he will lay in for hours. He loves being outside. He has to be coaxed in to coming inside and while this is so funny, his foster mom has to sing Buddy, Buddy Buddy Buddy 🎶🎶🎶 and he will come inside - most of the time but sometimes you just have to pick him up. 🤣 He does meander around the yard and will try to find an escape route, so it is imperative that he be supervised while outside. He loves to show his belly and silently with his pleading eyes will ask for belly rubs. He loves all dogs but will not be happy about a dog in his space, he does not like licks or kisses from other dogs, but will snuggle with a dog anytime. He does not like to share food and prefers to eat in private or off alone in a corner. He gets a spoonful of peanut butter each morning in lieu of eggs now. He is house trained but will have an accident if he doesn't go right before bedtime. He's an "old professor type" and so sweet. He is absolutely the best senior doggy around!
Can you live up to the love and care that his first Mom gave him? Then maybe you should invite Buddy to join your family! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.
