Meet Lady Jane! This lovable, social butterfly will quickly steal your heart. She loves to rub up against you for affection and is quite the conversationalist—always ready to chat! While we’re not entirely sure how she feels about dogs, she did swat at ours once, but in her defense, the dog was a stranger and near her kittens. She initially got along with our cat, but when he hissed one too many times at her babies, she switched into protective mode. No attacks—just a cautious follow with her back arched before we separated them. We haven’t tried reintroducing them since.
Lady Jane would likely thrive in a home with kids aged 10 and up and would make a fantastic companion for anyone in need of a fur friend. She's the opposite of shy—outgoing and talkative, always ready to be part of the action! She’s used to having access to plenty of dry food and never overeats. While she could adapt to many different homes, she might do best without a dog or with careful introductions to other pets.
I’d love to keep her, but with a full house already, it’s just not possible. That said, I’ve cherished every moment getting to know this sweet girl, and I know she’d make an amazing addition to any family!
Lady Jane is from an owner surrender with one kitten. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page.
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
