My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Foster Writes:
Almond is very sweet! She loves to play around, licks a lot as a show of love, she likes to be rubbed and petted. She has an extreme love for treats as well. Almond listen to commands such as sit, wait and go.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!

I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy!

A volunteer writes: What a ray of sunshine! Bubbly and bouncy, Almond's enthusiasm for the world is catching and uplifting. Almond has great love for treats, and when she works her puppy eyes, it's hard to say no. Almond was a great companion at the park, walking by other dogs without a second glance. So if you like active dogs who seem satisfied with simple things in life, come meet Almond. Be her forever friend today!

My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Beware of kissing attacks! Almond is a very sweet and affectionate dog who just wants to find her people to hang out with. She likes to play and go for walks, but is just as happy snuggling up and watching the squirrels. During our outing at the park, she warmed up to us quickly, happily accepted treats and petting, demonstrated an understanding of basic commands, and let her easygoing demeanor shine through. She was so well-behaved that when we had her on a long lead, she listened when we told her not to chase the squirrels or approach an off leash dog. We loved spending the day with her and were sad to return her to the ACC at the end of our borough break. However, with any luck she will find her family soon and we can take comfort in knowing the joy and affection she will be bringing into their lives.
