My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Esko, I am sweet 1 year old girl with a lot of love to give. I will have much nicer pictures coming soon.

I am a fun-spirited and gentle dog who just wants to find my furever home and have a family to call my own. I am ever so sweet, I may need a few minutes to trust, but then I will just melt into you. I'm a little skinny now and only weigh 30 pounds, so in my previous life I was unable to get the nutrition I needed. It is recommended I have a slow feeder for now as I act starved, but I am very easily called out of my bowl.

I'm a very calm and gentle dog, but I do have a lot of energy, so I'd love to have a backyard to run around in or daily walks in the park. I walk very nicely on a leash, and I've been told I have a soft personality and a soft mouth release when playing with toys - I'm very gentle with them!

I love other dogs and have a soft, loose approach with an “all in” bouncy play style. I'd love to have a home where I can get the basic obedience training I need to become the best companion I can be for you. I am a very smart dog, and I'm eager to learn.

I can’t wait for a loving family to care for me like I deserve, what a dream. A home where any children are at least 4 years old is just what I need.

If you are interested in Esko and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
