My name is Kazoo and I'm excited to meet you! I'm a very playful boy, but I also enjoy pets, belly rubs and naps in the sun. I purr easily and enjoy spending time with my humans. I can go from sleeping to energized and ready to play in 60 seconds - and it can take some time to tire me out. I LOVE hiding in tunnels or under chairs and pouncing onto my prey. I prefer interactive play with wand toys over chasing balls on my own, but nothing can beat the joy of chasing down flies. I enjoy being in high places to keep an eye on things. I'm friendly and curious with other cats, though since I'm still quite young it can take me a little time to learn that not all cats like to play by wrestling. Overall, I'm a good natured, fun-loving guy who is just happy to be here.
I sometimes let you know it's breakfast time by licking your hair - or if I have the zoomies in the morning I will test my long jump skills over the bed. When I first came to live with my foster parents, I was so playful I would run until I was panting - and I would have kept running if they let me. After I catch a wand toy, I am very proud of my hunting and once I'm tired out after some running or a nice big breakfast, I enjoy sprawling out on my back and taking a nice long, deep nap.
I was in foster care for a year while my loving TCR team worked diligently to figure out the source of my diarrhea. Eventually, they landed on an IBD diagnosis and I am now on an exclusively raw food diet. My foster parents can give you tips on what kind of raw food works best for me. I enjoy my raw food, but I am very curious about all food and have been known to sneak cat food from my friends when they aren't looking. I still have diarrhea but it is much, much better with the raw diet, so it's important that I stick to it and don't eat anything else. I have good hygiene habits and always use my litterbox.
I move quickly and am persistent, so it can be a bit tricky to make sure I don’t eat any food for any other cats if they eat slowly.
Note from foster: Kazoo is an absolute sweetheart and generally well-behaved. He has lots of personality and is quite goofy. He adapts quickly and has been good with other fosters as well as our resident cat.

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $200 per adult cat, and $250 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $200.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $150 per cat vs. $200 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
