My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kiwi is a sweetheart, she is a typical playful puppy. Kiwi can be goofy and silly, but is so very loving.

She will plop down at your feet for a nap when she's tired. Or try squeeze in my lap with her siblings.
She is such a well rounded pup, just like her siblings.

Kiwi and her siblings are developing personalities of their own.

Eat , sleep play, repeat.

They love to play and wrestle.

They have lots of toys but of course they like to all play with the same one. Running and chasing each other around.
Watching four pups all trying to hold the same toy is quite hilarious.

They were tiny when I first started fostering, it's wonderful to see them so happy , healthy and such sweet loving pups

If you are looking for sweet pups who love to give puppy kisses, these are the perfect pups.
Kiwi sleeps through the night and wakes when we get up, or our dogs wake.

Kiwi has been working on her potty training, using pee pads inside. The pups cannot always go outside when they need, so pee pad training has been invaluable.
Kiwi is doing great, she is still quite young so accidents will happen.
Kiwi and her siblings are old enough to go outside potty now.

We have just started taking them out into the back yard. They will run straight to the door, go potty then start to explore and play.

They follow each other around and love to hang out with us.
Kiwi and her siblings love to follow our dogs around the yard.

They all get on so well.

Carrots are the pups favorite treat. They are great for them to munch , healthy and can help with teething discomfort.

Young puppies like to chew, a carrot is a great alternative.
Kiwi is up to date for age on vaccinations and preventables, and is micro chipped.
Kiwi still needs to be spayed before she leaves my care.
She is available for pre-adoption and will just stay with us until after she is spayed.
She is scheduled next week.
Kiwi is looking for her special forever family. Is that you ?

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.

San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.

Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.
