Do you have room in your heart and home for a "house feral"?
Grace Kelly is a beautiful, young, Calico mix we rescued last May (2023) from the streets of Corona, CA, when she was pregnant (her first). The woman who trapped her was trying to catch the Mama of a litter of kittens she's already rescued. But once Grace was in captivity, she could tell she was going to continue having kittens out there, too, if not fixed.
That's when she reached out for help and we took her in, and were able to safely spay-terminate and get Grace fully vetted. We just didn't have the heart to release her back outside.
This stunning girl is still very fearful of humans but gets along GREAt with other cats. Do you have room in your fur-family for just one more? We'd be willing to work with you on her adoption fee if you'd be able to give her a good, long life... safe indoors or in a spacious cattery.
You'll find her full rescue journey chronicled on our Facebook page: Save The Leadwell Kitties in Photo Album #30. That's where you'll find ALL our rescued cats/kittens including updates from fosters and adopters!
Grace's adoption will include her:
* Spay surgery,
* De-worming,
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution),
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* and Microchipping (if you so desire)!
~ $150. is our normal adoption fee - but we're willing to waive that with the right adopter. Adoption contract and home check apply ~
*** You can also find all our adoptables on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including their rescue story, photos and video updates).
Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!

Their adoption process
1.
Submit Application
Once you see a cat/kitten who's peaked your interest and/or tugged on your heart, you can send an email inquiry through the website.
2.
Interview
Once you've returned the completed application (via email), we follow up with a phone interview: at which time we set up a meet-n-greet.
3.
Home Check
If it's the right match for you, your family, and the animal, we would then conduct a home check; for any escape or safety hazards.
4.
Meet the Pet
Typically, we'd conduct the home ck prior to the meet-n-greet. That way, you can take the cat/kitten(s) home with you!
5.

Go meet their pets
All our adoptable pets are featured on Petfinder.com. I also create fun and entertaining videos on each animals, host them on YouTube and post ads on Craigslist; under the Pets section.
It's important to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, fostering, and adopting. I also enjoy teaching others how to humanely trap stray and feral cats.

More about this rescue
We are a small, volunteer-based rescue located in the San Fernando Valley focusing, primarily, on cats and kittens. We rescue most of the animals through trapping in our local communities, or pulling from our City and County shelters. Our adoptable pets live with us in our home or in foster homes. Fosters are always needed. Please consider becoming one today?
You can find more photos, videos and updates on all our rescues by visiting us on Facebook at: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (which is a public page). Please feel free to browse through the many photo albums. I believe in transparency and rely on the support of volunteers, donors, and like-minded, rescuers. We also partner with other 501C3 Non profit rescues.
Additionally, we support and practice TNR (Trap, Nueter, Release) of community cats.
One person really CAN make a difference. Join us there and find out how you can help!
