This tiny girl is a loving sweetheart - she just loves people! Kai purrs readily and is easily handled. Though she is much smaller than her brother, this little dynamo can hold her own when play-fighting & wrestling with him. Kai is curious, alert & playful and wants to know what you are doing. She is more likely to hop, jump & dive during play than her brother. Kai has a calm, laid-back presence, unless she’s chasing her brother or racing through the house! Kai’s favorite toy is a ball made from aluminum foil, and she knows exactly where each of them are; she attacks things that roll. Kai also likes shoestrings. She loves to hide in the packing papers with her stash of toys. Kai had outdoor exposure and was taken inside when her foster saw her at the top of a mature live oak tree (she used the dog door to get out). She loves to climb the indoor cat tree and enjoys scratching on the vertical sisal and cardboard floor scratchers. Kai LOVES catnip, particularly the banana and chili pepper shaped bunny kick toys; she also appreciates the soft smaller dental / chew catnip toys. She likes to lay in the window ledge and is riveted by the birds, geckos & bugs outside. Kai has a soft voice and chatters, chirps or trills in her interactions. She purrs constantly, a soft calming purr. Kai loves to snuggle, laying on you or near you, or with her brother. She will head butt you when you are laying down or standing. Kai is a champion biscuit maker.
Born 4/8/2024
Kai and her brother were born to a young mama, Mumbles, who was discovered abandoned herself as a tiny kitten by a kindly neighbor. Kai has a small frame like her mama and it’s believed they were the only two in the litter discovered in April 2024. They were lovingly nursed by their mama indoors, and engaged with the family’s sweet Border Collie & other cats. Rather than allow the neighbor to take them to a shelter, a foster took both kittens in at about 11 weeks old. Kai had an above-average beginning in a calm environment and solid foundation allowing her sweet, loving disposition and confidence to develop. Kai has always been with her brother and calls for companionship when she is alone. She is fully vetted and healthy, and ready to love a family of her own!
