My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gorgeous, Snuggly, Sweet

Introducing 99 Luftballons!

This gorgeous long-haired gal is calm and friendly but a little on the reserved side. Sweet and patient, she likes to be around you rather than on you, preferring to be pet, held, and receive neck scratches than being an in-your-face lap cat. She's an older gal with some health issues so she doesn't play too often but she does have a quick play session, she's the cutest thing ever.

99 Luftballons meows when she's greeting you or when she wants food. She has what her foster describes as a "smoker's meow and it's pretty endearing!

99 Luftballons has stomatitis, which is an inflammation of the mouth. It is typically resolved through removal of teeth and supportive care. She currently requires some extra medical care which may include medications and a wet food diet. For more information, please contact APA! The vets are in the process of determining whether she has chronic kidney disease, which means her kidneys may not be functioning as well as they once were. This condition is so common in older cats that APA! offers a special adoption package for them. Read more about renal failure and adoption details here: https://bit.ly/2YudG90. Despite these issues, her foster can confirm that she's an overall great cat and does amazing with taking her meds!

While she hasn't been around other cats or kids, she's had neutral experiences with dogs while in foster care. She was suspicious of her foster's dog at first but now she doesn't even care if he's there. She'll walk right past him like he doesn't exist.

According to her foster, she seems to do well in a home with other people and dogs. She's pretty low maintenance and loves her cat tower to retreat to for her naps and grooming time. 99 Luftballons deserves to live out her golden years being spoiled and thoroughly loved.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
