Another new arrival- meet Julia!

This scared little girl was allowed to run loose frequently by an irresponsible owner, and this time they decided they didn’t want to go looking for her anymore and she wasn’t work the effort 🤷‍♀️

She looks like an overgrown border terrier on stilts, a tall and leggy 30lbs full grown, and definitely looks like a mix of a big dog and a small terrier mushed together. Probably a pittie/Yorkie or pit-poo? She’s nervous and skittish at first with new people and situations and her first instinct is to jump away and flee, but once comfortable she’s a playful lovable cuddler who bonds deeply to her people. She LOVES other dogs, especially bigger ones, and would love a big brother bully breed we think. She’s still a youngster, 1-2 years old tops, with a puppy energy to her. And could she be anymore photogenic?! I mean look at that face 🥰 We have had her spayed and updated on shots and she’s looking for a home that will be committed to keeping her safe and continuing to socialize her in a positive way. Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
