My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is around 5 years old, 92 lbs black German Shepherd (50%), American Bully (35%), and Pit Bull terrier (15%) mix (per Embark) - shelter listed him as a pit bull and b/c he looked like a Lab, we tested his DNA with Embark and Wisdom Panel (results are practically the same).
He was used either as a bait dog and/or a fighting dog and was badly mauled - his lip, tongue, right eyelid were torn, his front teeth are ground to practically nothing (due to gnawing on cage bars); his right front leg bones were broken (he starts limping if he has a long walk).  This dog suffered a lot but strangely enough is incredibly friendly with people.  He has no food aggression whatsoever, he is eager to please. He craves human company and cries when alone.  We have to keep him locked in a separate room b/c of our cat and small dog. Without exaggeration, this dog will be an incredible companion in a single pet family. He is very responsive to love and returns it hundredfold.
