Georgie is a Shar Pei/Flat-Coated Retriever Mix. He is Black with a little White. Georgie is 7 Months Old. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He weighs around 38 lbs.
Georgie is a squishy, smooshy face ball of fun! He was found running around with a doggie pal when a high kill pound stopped and picked him up. We knew we had to rescue this boy as soon as we saw his adorable Shar Pei face! He is still young and already showing signs that he's going to be a very obedient boy. Georgie is very intelligent and catches onto things very quickly, within about 3 minutes he learned how to "Sit", he is also on his way to learning lay down and roll over. His breed mixture makes him a very fast learner and a loyal family companion. He enjoys taking walks with you and does very well with no being distracted as most puppies do. Georgie loves to run up to you when he first meets you and give you lots of sloppy kisses. He has such a wonderful and loving personality that when he gets a little older he would make a wonderful therapy dog. Georgie loves everything in life and once you take a look at that beautiful face of his you'll be lost and want him to be apart of your family just like we have. Georgie deserves to find a wonderful home who will give him all the love and attention he deserves.
Georgie would do well in any household. He loves everyone he meets including adults, kids and other dogs. He walks very well on the leash and loves to greet people while he walks down the street. He is completely crate trained and is quickly learning to be housetrained as well. He rides very well in the car and usually just takes a nap during the trip. Georgie would thrive if his new family would take him through puppy classes and eventually take him to classes to become a therapy dog. He looks the most happy when he's getting to do his tricks and getting rewarded with more kisses and treats. Georgie does wonderful with all dogs so having a doggie brother or sister would be a lot of fun for him. He also adores children of any ages so as long as he has someone to cuddle and play with he'll be a very happy boy!
Georgie is not aggressive with other dogs, he has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.
There is a $100 Adoption Fee for all dogs. Which includes the Spay/Neuter, Parvo/Distemper Combo Shot, Rabies Shot, Worming, Heartworm Tested Negative if over 6 months and Flea/Tick Prevention.
