My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $275, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home

Who're you looking at? Only one of the sweetest kitties you will ever meet! My name is Eclipse, and all I am looking for is all the love you have to offer. I am a social butterfly with humans, and love to rub and nuzzle my way into your lap if you'll let me. I'm generally pretty low energy, but bring out a wand toy and get ready for play central! (I also make the cutest little chirps when I am having fun) I am litter box-trained, and use my scratching post well (while leaving the curtains alone). While I am dog-tolerant and have lived with other cats, I probably prefer to either live with another low-key kitty or to be your one-and-only. I would love to meet you and show you all the love I have to give! I do only have one eye, but that doesn't stop me!!

Eclipse is a female, about 6 months old. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with her vaccinations.

If you would like to meet Eclipse, please fill out an application on the Carver Scott Humane Society website today!

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
