Other important info about me: When I came to the shelter I was covered in painful mats and infested with fleas, and my hair was so overgrown you couldn’t see my face or the collar I was wearing. I was scared at first and stayed at the back of my kennel, growling at people when they approached. A very kind grooming salon nearby got me all cleaned up and my whole personality changed; now I am happy, energetic, and love meeting new people! No one came to the shelter to claim me, so I’m looking for a new home that will make sure my fur stays clean and groomed. I appear to do well with people of all ages and other dogs, but I haven’t been tested with cats at this time.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We are open Tues-Fri 8-4 and Sat 10-2. If no one is at the shelter during open hours, please call 281-576-2417 for assistance.

2.
Meet the Pet

We require all adopters to spend time with the pet they are interested in to make sure he/she is a good match!

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

All adopters must sign an adoption contract. This contract states that you will obtain rabies vaccination for your new pet within 7 days.

4.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee for all pets at MBAS is $10. We accept cash (exact change required), check, or card.

5.
Take the Pet Home

And that's it! You are now the proud owner of a new furry family member and will take your pet home right away.

Mont Belvieu Animal Shelter is open Tuesday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please call or stop by the shelter to view our available animals!
