Ollie truly is a sweet boy that loves his person. However, he has displayed resource guarding behavior towards my 7 year old son. Safety of my child being my number one concern, I feel he needs to be in a home with no small children and with someone who has the proper time to train daily. He has been to a 4 week training when he was a year old and knows the basics; but I am beyond my capacity in so many ways, to maintain training for him in general, let alone related to the resource guarding. I share custody of my son so he’s only around 50% of the time which is a major obstacle for consistent training involving my son.
Cats: Tolerates cats, high prey drive; lives with 2 cats and tries to chase sometimes.
Dogs: He plays well with dogs but proper introduction is important; he LOVES to play with dogs but has never lived with one. I think he would be ok cohabitating with a playmate with proper introduction/transitions.
Kids: Would recommend a home with no younger children
