Meet Sandy O.! This adorable brindle lab mix was born in June 2024 and is already winning hearts. Sandy is currently in a foster home with an adult dog and a cat, so she’s learning great social skills. Her foster says, "Sandy is all puppy who loves to rumble around in the backyard. She is a great retriever and will always play fetch with you. When she isn’t playing with her toys she will cuddle up next to on the couch and take in a few naps. Right now she is coexisting with a large adult male dog and a young female cat. We do have chickens and she likes to watch them outside of the fence. Truck rides and leash walking are a breeze with Sandy. She also keeps her kennel clean and mess free. This little girl is treat motivated and loves Kongs stuffed with goodies."She’s a sweet, playful pup who would make a wonderful addition to a loving family.

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $160 to $185. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
