My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mewton, a high-energy, playful kitten who's always on the go and loves to talk! This chatty boy will fill your home with excitement and is constantly ready for fun. He thrives on interactive play-wand toys, feather teasers, and anything that dangles are his favorites. Set aside time each day for engaging play to help him burn off that kitten energy, and he'll reward you with endless entertainment and sweet, talkative company.

Mewton has lived with an older cat before, so he may make a great friend for your resident feline! If you're looking for a lively, affectionate companion who also knows how to get along with other cats, Mewton is the perfect fit for your home.

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
