Dog's Name: Toast (TOA1024CHEMN)
Estimated Breed: Catahoula MIX
Approximate Age: 1 year
Approximate Weight: 32 lbs
Currently Living at: Boarding
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Toast! This friendly young boy is on the calm side, which is a nice surprise given his youth. Toast is not just a good boy, he's a great one! He is sociable, and is always ready to make new friends. He is unsure of other dogs right now, and may need more socialization. He would do best in a home as a single dog, or introduced properly to the resident dog. He is great on leash and the perfect size! Toast would do best in a single family home with a yard. If you're seeking a loyal friend, Toast is ready to fill that role. He's not just looking for a home, he's looking for a family. So why not submit an application today and give Toast a chance to be part of yours!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org
