My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Monty! He's almost a year old now terrier/redbone hound mix, 50lbs. This gorgeous boy is so sweet and loves everyone! He is now in a foster home and his foster momma says is an abolute ideal FAMILY dog. She literally said when he was hesitant when she got him out of the car but as soon as saw her kids and the neighbor kids, he lit up and ran right to them to play! He LOVES dogs too so if you have one that needs a fur play-mate, he is your boy also! In the one video attached, there literally is a dog bone between these two dogs and no guarding of it all. He is just happy to be with friends - human or fur! He's still just a big puppy so his training isn't over, as he and his brother Micah were turned loose to live on their own with other dogs at a very young age and just need to learn how to be a pet. They absolutely love kids and we can't say that enough! He sleeps nicely at night in a crate so he is crate trained AND his foster momma reports no accidents in the house to date! Re, cats, he may wanna play a little rough for cats until they learn. How exciting to watch them grow and learn and evolve into just what your family is looking for! Could this beautiful guy be your family's new best friend?!

If your application is chosen and approved we will setup a meet and greet with the pet. You will hear back regardless if chosen or not.

We place the dogs in the best home not the first home. Please be patient while we go over all apps and we will be in touch.

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.

Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can.
