Meet Bealle Bealle, a young soul with a heart full of love. Despite her shy and quiet demeanor, she`s incredibly sweet and friendly. She may be a bit timid and submissive, but that`s just part of her charm. Bealle Bealle is nervous, but with a little patience and lots of love, she`ll come out of her shell. She weighs 20 pounds and is quite intimated by leash walking so she`ll need your comforting guidance. House training might be a new skill for her to learn too. We haven`t seen her interact with children or other dogs yet but she`s eager to learn and grow with a family who will guide her gently. Adopting Bealle Bealle means welcoming a loyal companion into your life. Her sweet nature and loving spirit will surely bring joy and warmth to any home. (tw 10/5/2024)

Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

A second dog or puppy, adopted within 30 days of the first adoption receives a $20 discount.

Any dog/puppy adopted at the same time as a cat/kitten will be adoptable at a $20 discount.

Citizens For Animal Protection, founded in 1972, is committed to sheltering, rescuing, and placing homeless animals in loving homes; advocating respect and compassion for all animal life; providing humane education to prevent animal cruelty; and raising awareness in the community of the needs of animals.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
