My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Flea, the charming young and loving kitty with a heart of gold!

This sweet and friendly feline warms up to people in no time, making him the perfect cuddle buddy. Easy to handle and always up for being carried like a baby, Flea strikes the ideal balance between relaxed, playful, and oh-so-cuddly. He’s quite the chatterbox too—get ready for some delightful conversations with your new best friend!

Flea had a rough start to life as a stray, but he is a champion! Now that he’s enjoying the warmth and safety of an indoor life, he is a happy and healthy little guy! Flea is friendly with other cats, especially his cuddle buddy Leo and his friend Guerito. Since Flea is still young, he will need to be adopted into a home that has another kitty friend to play with, or with a kitty from FFF. He would love be adopted with one or both of his foster friends…and he’d thrive in a multi-cat household! Flea’s also great with kids, making him a wonderful addition to any family. Although he does not have much experience with dogs, Flea is an easy going and friendly kitty who would likely do well with a canine friend as long as he is given a slow and supervised introduction.

Flea is ready to lighten up your house with his playful and loving spirit! He absolutely loves to play and is a fetch aficionado! He’ll bring you his favorite cat toys, eager for you to toss them so he can dash back with them in tow. Cat tunnels and ribbon-on-a-stick toys? You bet he loves jumping, catching, and running off with them! And don’t be surprised if you catch him hilariously pawing at the floor while drinking water—that’s just part of his quirky charm!

If Flea had a superpower, it would be his own kitty bat signal, calling out to you with those sweet meows that first caught his foster mom’s attention. Flea’s foster mom first heard Flea before she even saw him. One cold winter night her window was open and she could hear Flea’s desperate meowing all the way from a door across the street. And if you’re wondering where he got his name… When Flea’s foster mom first picked him up from the street, the poor thing was covered in fleas! After about 3 hours of bathing and picking off fleas, Flea was finally all cleaned up and has been cozied up inside ever since. This little guy is so sweet and easy going he was such a good boy in the bath and even let his foster mom cut his nails!

If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion to brighten your home, Flea is your guy! Please contact us to set up a time to meet Flea. He is ready to fill your home with so much love and joy!

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
