Meet Forest, an 8-week-old Husky mix who’s ready to find his forever family! This playful little guy is full of curiosity and affection, always eager to explore the world around him. He already knows his name and will sit and wait patiently (unless food is involved, of course). Forest loves a game of tug of war, chewing on his favorite bone, and soaking up belly rubs when he has finished running around and is ready for a nap. He’s also beginning to discover his howl, especially when a siren passes by!

Forest is boarding with his two sisters, and their days are filled with fun and mischief. Here’s a peek into Forest’s typical schedule:

• 7 AM: Forest generally wakes up bright and early, ready to start the day.

• 8 AM: Breakfast is served! His meal includes a mix of wet food, kibble, and warm water.

• Morning Fun: After breakfast, Forest loves to run around with his sisters, tussling and playing. He’s also known to explore by putting his paws in the water bowl or ripping up the puppy pad. He’ll even give a little bark to let you know when it’s time for a fresh one!

• Mid-Morning Nap: Once he’s tired out from playtime, Forest settles in for a nap.

• Lunch (1–2 PM): After his nap, it’s time for lunch and more adventures with his siblings.

• Afternoon Play: The afternoon is filled with more exploration, play sessions, and discovering new things around him.

• Dinner (7–8 PM): At dinnertime, he enjoys another hearty meal before gearing up for his final play session of the day.

• Evening Wind-Down: After his last round of running and exploring, Forest settles in for the night, ready for snuggles and belly rubs.

Forest is an inquisitive, loving pup with a playful nature and a soft heart. He has lots of energy and is learning to use his long body to explore and try to jump up where he doesn't belong! With his energy, smarts, and keen observation, he is likely to become quite an escape artist! But if you’re looking for a smart, affectionate companion to brighten your days, Forest is the one for you!

Forest is only an option for those who have owned a dog. If there are children in the home, they must be over the age of 6.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
