My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Millie came to us via a Kentucky Rescue. She is a beautiful, young Bernadoodle (Bernese Mountain Dog/Poodle) weighing between 55-60 pounds. Millie was surrendered by her family who could no longer keep her.  Sweet, friendly, and playful, this girl loves to cuddle with her humans and play with her canine housemates.  Her former owners spent little time training her, so she is a work in progress. She occasionally has an accident in the house, but has improved so much since coming to us.  On first meeting, Millie can be a little shy.  She loves kids and spends a lot of time playing and being walked by her foster's granddaughters.  Millie would love a family with another friendly dog, kids to play with or an owner who will hike and walk with her; an owner who will introduce her slowly to new situations and broaden her world.  Millie is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative.  Now all she needs is someone to offer her a great home and love her forever.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!

Additional adoption info

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are listed on our website.
