Hi! My name is Nova and I am a 5-year-old, 57 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when left home alone.
I love people and am happy to meet men, women, and older children. I actively seek affection, especially nose rubs! I like to lay on the couch next to my people during our down time. I am happy to greet visitors to our home and will be sad when they leave to go home. Everyone I have ever met has commented on how sweet I am with people.
I have done well with other dogs who aren’t pushy over resources and could do well with a sibling or by myself. I haven’t shown much interest in toys, though I love my bones! I am very food motivated and not willing to share with other dogs so I will need to eat and have my bones independently. I also have a strong prey drive and cannot go to a home with cats.
I do well in the car and only pull slightly on leash, which makes me a good partner for outings! I am lower energy and like to go for quieter strolls rather than runs or long hikes. I have been working on my training cues and am doing well learning sit, come, wait, and leave it! I would love someone willing to continue my training. I recently had a benign, fibrous lipoma removed from my rear right leg—surgery had clean margins, though I am sporting a naked leg while my hair grows back in. I am a sweet, happy, social girl ready to find my perfect adoptive home. Could you be my family?
