My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bear!! This guy is 3 years old weighing in at 27lbs with the cutest little moomoo face possible.
Bear was found as a stray in Southern California, and despite efforts to locate his owners, no one stepped forward. Now living his best life with his foster family, Bear has come a long way from being underweight and covered in mange. Thanks to the love and care of his foster mom, he is thriving in his foster home.
Bear is a complete love bug who enjoys the comforts of living in a home. He loves sunbathing and taking long walks on the beach, often enjoying adventures with his foster sibling. Bear has a funny quirk—when he goes potty, he thinks he’s hiding behind a tiny stick or props his butt up on a fence! He’s playful, loves being active, absolutely adores his belly rubbed and appreciates the occasional acupuncture session to help with a little sway in his hips.
Bear is almost fully potty trained, though he still tends to mark his territory, which is being addressed by his foster mom. He is learning to use the bathroom outside with the door left open for his freedom. Initially, Bear wore a belly band to help manage marking. He’s not a fan of his crate and can be stubborn about going in, but once he’s in there, he settles down and sleeps through the night.
Bear eats consistent, healthy meals to help manage some mild skin allergies that surfaced after his bout with mange. He is in much better health now and shows no signs of major medical concerns.
Bear needs a patient and understanding family who can continue working on his training and help him feel secure. He would do great in a home that loves outdoor activities—especially sunbathing or beach walks. He gets along well with other dogs and would love a home where he can keep learning to be a loved pet after his rough start in life.
Bear has a big heart and is ready to share his love with the right forever family. If you’re looking for a lovable, slightly quirky companion who’s still learning but eager to please, Bear might just be your perfect match!
He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and vet cleared. Please apply for Bear on our website. Everything about the adoption process is available there as well. Bears adoption donation fee is $1000.00
