My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Scottie, a charming adult canine resident of our shelter. Scottie's personality is as sweet as honey, warming the hearts of everyone he encounters. His shyness is endearing, and he has a gentle way of reaching out to people that makes him irresistible. Scottie enjoys quiet moments, leisurely walks, and a good chew toy. He's a master at the art of companionship, offering a comforting presence and unconditional love. Scottie's shy demeanor is no hindrance to his ability to form deep connections. With a heart full of love, Scottie is patiently waiting for his forever home. His sweetness and gentleness make him the perfect companion for someone who values these qualities. Adopting Scottie means gaining a loyal friend who will cherish every moment spent with you.
In our care Scottie has been vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Scottie is now ready to go home. If you would like to meet Scottie come to the Escondido Campus.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
