My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Bella was brought in by her previous owner on September 6, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Bella, a sweet and friendly pup who's ready to shower you with love! She's lived with kids and other dogs, making her a great addition to any family. Bella adores giving affection, and just when you think she's done, she'll take a nap and be ready for round two of cuddles. She takes treats gently, showing off her polite manners. She was kept as an outdoor dog so will likely need a potty training refresher. She is on the older side and we would love to set you up with a member of our medical team who can set you up for success - don't worry, she's doing great and feeling good! If you're looking for a loving, gentle companion who's always ready to share her heart (with a little nap in between), Bella is your girl! Come in and ask about adopting today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
