"Hello, My Name Is Diesel... and I Like to Party!"

(But like, the responsible kind of party where we go on a walk, maybe chase a squirrel, and then pass out on the couch. Okay, maybe not that responsible.)

This handsome 3.5-year-old Husky dude is looking for his forever home, and it's gotta be with people who have a LOT of free time. Seriously, I'm a Husky. Attention is my love language. Did I mention I'm VERY vocal? Think of me as your personal furry commentator on life, squirrels, and the occasional passing leaf.

I'm working on my manners (handling can be a little tricky), but I'm a super fast learner, especially if treats are involved! (Did someone say "bacon"?) Basically, I need a family who's as goofy and energetic as me, who understands that sometimes "zoomies" happen, and who's down for a lifetime of adventures (and maybe a few naps in between).

For In-Person Adoptions at the Shelter, visit during open hours. For pets in foster care, apply on that pet at www.multcopets.org

Meet the Pet

At the shelter, adopters will be able to meet a maximum of three (3) pets per visit, with ten (10) minutes per pet.

3.
Take the Pet Home

Adoptions are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Adoptions will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Adopters will not be able to submit applications to adopt animals in advance, or place adoption holds on animals.
For In-Person Adoptions at the Shelter, visit during open hours.
For pets in foster care, apply on that pet at www.multcopets.org

Adopters will be able to meet a maximum of three (3) pets per visit, with ten (10) minutes per pet.
We will be unable to assist with pet-to-pet meets. Please keep your furry friends at home, adoptable pets will not be able to meet resident pets at the shelter.
Prepare enough time for your visit. Adopters should expect that it may be up to two (2) hours at the shelter to process an adoption, including meeting pets, an adoption consultation, and waiting periods. Wait times may be significantly longer on weekends.

Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) is the only open door shelter in Portland. We are the primary agency responsible for lost pet care, animal abuse investigations and animal rescue in Multnomah County. We also offer dog and cat licensing, lost and found pet services, and animal adoptions through our shelter in Troutdale. MCAS is a division of the Multnomah County Department of Community Services (DCS).
