George was brought to the shelter with his buddy Martha. George is a youngster at only five to six months old, and is a big boy! While he has black and tan hound coloring, his coat and thick body shape make us think Rottweiler mix. What a handsome boy he is, and so happy and personable! George and Martha love playing together, and needed to be separated now that they’re both getting bigger, but they love hanging out in the play yard even though they aren’t sleeping in the same kennel run any longer. George would love to be adopted and in a home with someone who loves big puppies and is willing to take on the challenge of training! Is that you?

If you are looking for a playful pup for your family, one that has enough energy to play and chase all day, then George is the dog for you. Even though he's big, he's a baby: just six months old. He needs a family to belong to and to teach him all the good manners that big dogs need to learn. He is friendly and respectful with the volunteers and plays well with other dogs. George has not been around cats or other small animals, but given his youth, all things are possible with the right family and the right introductions.
