Meet Terry, an energetic and playful 3-year-old German Shepherd mix who is ready to find his forever home! Terry is a bundle of joy with a passion for play, especially when it comes to his favorite game: fetch! He loves his toys, too. He thrives on exercise and needs a loving family who can keep him mentally and physically stimulated.

This active boy is smart and eager to learn, making him a perfect candidate for our Shelter Dog Training Class- he has been working on leash-walking and basic commands like "sit", "down", and "watch me". Thanks to Pedigree Foundation, Terry has a training scholarship with HHHS!

More about this shelter

HHHS has been a permanent part of the Topeka community since its founding May 4, 1938. The organization is incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) business for the purpose of sheltering companion animals in need of care, advocating for anti-cruelty protection of animals and promoting humane education and animal welfare issues. HHHS fosters the adoption of companion animals into responsible homes and reunites lost animals with their owners; promotes sterilization of animals to help reduce overpopulation; provides a facility accessible to the general public; serves the community with educational programs addressing animal welfare issues; and maintains a fiscally responsible organization.
