My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Broccoli and Cheddar are one year old male rats. This duo loves wrestling and chasing each other, foraging for their food, and snuggling together during nap time. They are shy but very curious, and will wait at the cage door when someone approaches, hopeful for a piece of carrot or some peas. Broccoli loves head and back scratches once he warms up to you, and Cheddar is a little more timid with human touch. These boys are looking for a loving home to bring their joyful personalities to.

Proof of a proper enclosure is required. A proper enclosure has good ventilation (no glass aquariums), solid floors and shelves (no wire to injure feet), is secure with bar spacing small enough to prevent escape or heads getting caught. It should be large enough to allow space for enrichment activities like climbing, exploring, hiding, balancing, and digging/burrowing. Four cubic feet of space per rat is preferred. Multiple water sources is also recommended.

We are a small rescue who cares for all our pets in
foster homes. We do NOT have a facility & all animals
are seen by appointment only, after an application has
been approved.
Dogs' adoption fee includes vetting, spaying/neutering, and any health care they may need. For some dogs, the fee may be reduced for reasons that can be made available. Cats' adoption fee include vetting, spaying/neutering, and any health care. All are heartworm negative. We require all possible adopters to fill out an adoption application, and to submit themselves to home visits by staff or volunteers, or by local rescues. Vet reference will be required and will be used. Upon adopting, an adoption contract will be signed. Call me or email to start this process.

More about this rescue

I got involved with rescue work out of love for animals. I had decided to set up my own rescue. I serve mostly deaf animals because they are first to be put down and are usually deemed untrainable, unadoptable and unlovable. I didn't feel this was right or fair.
