My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Momma Pepper & Little Man Finn are in a foster home. ***

Pepper: brown/orange torbie, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 9/1/22, #19141
Finn: orange tabby, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 8/24/23, #19142

Cats: *BONDED PAIR*, others ok
Dogs: yes
Children: gentle kids

Momma Pepper and Little Man Finn had a rough go before coming to The Rescue House. They must have had a human guardian at some point, but Momma and her six kittens were taken to a place in rural Escondido where a colony of cats have a person who feeds them... and then left there. Unfortunately most of the kittens did not survive the predations of hungry wildlife, but mother and son were able to be rescued. They moved into foster care where they got the love and care they needed, and now they are ready to find a loving and secure forever home!

Both Momma Pepper and Little Man Finn love to cuddle up on your lap and can swaddled like babies as you carry them around. They love an assortment of toys and are similarly-energetic for playtime. They prefer some time and patience as they adapt to a new environment and meet new people, but give them the chance to change your status from unknown to known person and then they will be wanting so many pets and cuddles!
---Momma Pepper is a talker! There are many good conversations to be had with her... you can chit-chat and share all the household gossip. Pepper particularly likes to be swaddled like a baby when you hold her; something about the gentle pressure is comforting to her and inspires purrs.
---Little Man Finn is a little unsure at first and may run away from unknown people, but once you start to pet him he falls in love and will happily rub against you. Finn is a floppy boy rolling back and forth for your petting attention, and he also enjoys kisses. He is such a love bug!
---Finn finds a lot of comfort with Pepper and he follows her lead and does best when she is around. They sleep together and Finn purrs away hugging his mama. They MUST be adopted together.

They love each other dearly and are comfortable with other cats as well. They could likely live with a cat-friendly canine and have been around a Shepherd-sized dog in their foster home. Gentle respectful children who give them a little time to adjust should be fine.

Pepper and Finn are a wonderful mother-son duo who will make you want to constantly cuddle them. Will you give them a loving lifetime home?
