For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This little black beauty was showered with good fortune when she was rescued from the streets with her brother, Jeremy, and then made her way to EHS.
A playful and curious girl, it didn't take long for Lydia to become comfortable around people. She's mastered head bumping her foster dad around mealtimes, which also happens to be her favourite time of the day as she's very food motivated. She's keen to explore her surroundings and expand her horizons. But Lydia is a naturally protective big sister, so before she heads out to explore a new room or a new closet, she makes a point of checking on her brother, Jeremy, to make sure he's okay.
Please note: kittens, like Lydia, have lots of energy! They require ample and mindful stimulation, through play, from their humans. Their optimal development also benefits tremendously from having a four-legged companion in the home to socialize with. So, we would prefer that Lydia either go to a home where there is already a feline-friendly cat or dog in residence or be adopted with her sibling or another compatible shelter animal.
Could Lydia be your lucky star? Find out and apply today! -------------------- The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200...Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. -------------------- Interested in adopting Lydia? It's easy! Just click "Adopt a Cat" on the EHS website (etobicokehumanesociety.com) and fill out our "Cat Adoption Form." An EHS representative will be pleased to help.
