Hello. My name is August. Are you the one who needs me as much as I need someone to hold, cuddle, and pet me? I put out the superist purrs. My tuxedo fur coat is really short and silky, and it feels so good to be gently stroked. Plus, you should check out my lady's stockings—aren't they adorable? I absolutely love to play with my toys and enjoy the company of the two fellas I live with now. Their antics keep me entertained, but what I truly long for is a human to hold and love me lots. I promise to return all that love tenfold in cuddles and purrs. If you have as much time and affection to give as I’m eager to receive, then we’re a meowy match! Some animals shown are rehoming courtesy posts for the current owners, and other animals are available for adoption through Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs).

All animals in the care of FRAs have their annual vaccinations, sterilization, FeLV/FIV test for cats, and a microchip. You must sign an adoption contract when adopting a pet through FRAs.

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit organization. FRAs was founded in 2004 and started off with 4 volunteers that wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter.

Our organization has grown to 400 volunteers supporting both the Rowlett Animal Shelter and the Garland Animal Shelter. With this growth now we are able to host multiple off-site adoption events, sponsor heartworm treatments program, operate our own cat rescue program, and so much more!
