My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Daytona 500 is currently in a foster home, and he`s looking for the perfect adoptive home. Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **After being found as a stray here in Chicago, Daytona 500 hit the jackpot and landed in a cozy foster home with a couple of other cattle dogs!

This handsome boy has been through so much! He came to us after being loose on the streets! He was trapped, and needed a second chance. Luckily, an awesome cattle dog loving foster stepped up!
Once Daytona arrived, we realized that he`s the sweetest boy ever!!! He`s a `typical cattle dog` in the way that he needs time to build trust, but once he does, he blossoms into a playful and social companion! He loves to run and play with his pup friends, and he has done wonderfully in his kennel at home! Daytona is on the lookout for a loving and understanding home where he can continue to be loved and build his confidence up for the big life he has a head of him!

With a heart full of loyalty and a playful spirit, Daytona 500 is ready to share adventures and cozy cuddles with the right family.
Adopt Daytona 500 and let the good times roll—after all, he’s ready to hit the track with you!

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
