My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I adopted Chumba about a year ago from the Corvallis Heartland Humane Society. He is up to date on all vet requirements and I have all his vet information printed out to hand over. He is a very stressed 11 year old cat who would prefer a laid back home with lower activity.  Chumba needs routine, eats purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach because he commonly over-grooms when stressed. I also feed him wet food to balance out his diet.

Chumba is very particular about his pets and litter and prefers that you sit next to him and pet is back to butt until he feels more comfortable with you.  He is a very vocal little man and will tell you when the litter is dirty or he wants pets. He will commonly "bap" at you when he is scared or if you move your hand too fast. Otherwise he is a very independent napper who enjoys simply being near you. He isn't particularly keen on cuddles and I have only had luck using yarn as a toy for him. Please let me know if you would like to know anything else! He truly is a sassy little prince that loves windows.  Chumba lives with his owner in Dallas, OR. and his rehoming fee is $25.

This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. More about this rescue

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.
