*** Sebastian & Cookies are in our Petco Mira Mesa adoption center. ***
Sebastian: black/white tuxedo, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 10/05/23, #18932 Cookies: black w/ white locket, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 11/05/23, #18933
Cats: bonded pair, others possibly ok Dogs: possibly very calm dogs Children: quiet & older kids, tweens+ best
These sweet teenagers are two of nearly 30 cats of assorted ages who were discovered packed into crowded crates and dumped by a river. The woman who found them brought all of the cats into her home and then started calling around to rescues. The Rescue House stepped up to help the large clowder.
These bundles of joy and love are their own best advoCATs, so here is a note from each of them! ---"Hi, I'm Sebastian! Are you my new humom/hudad/huperson? Do you like my tuxedo? I grew it myself! I am very skilled at classic cat antics, including chasing all the things, flopping on top of your phone to (respectfully) demand attentions, and making you "LOL" for real. I can be a little timid when I hear loud noises or when in new situations but don't let that fool you because I'm a playful, loving, and happy cat! I'm good with new people and enjoy receiving loads of affection from my humans. My favorite things to do are: chase and wrestle with my kid sister, lunge after toys, and lounge at my human's side while purring. I have even been known to make a biscuit or two. My favorite toys are little plastic springs to chase, kicker toys, and anything on the end of a string attached to a stick! I like other cats but am a bit of an alpha and may do best in a home with just my sister Cookies. She's a hoot and we have a great time together!" ---"Hi, I'm a Cookies - and I'm even sweeter than my namesake! Have you seen the "jewel" (white spot) on my neck? Isn't it fancy? I wear it all the time! My truth is: I'm rather bashful at first because meeting new people can be intimidating but I crave affection and I really want to lie across your chest and purr, purr, purr. Doesn't that sound like the best ever? If you're willing to be patient with me, I promise I'm worth the rewards of love and joy we will share together! I even come running when called! Like Sebastian, loud noises frighten me but I recover quickly once you tell me everything is okay. My favorite things to do are: chase and wrestle with my big bro and intently watch the birds outside the window (I'll chirp at them!). I'll also dart down the hallway in hot pursuit of Sebastian, toys, or just for funsies. My favorite toys are plastic springs, feather wands, and crinkle tunnels to run through. I'm not so great at jumping but I am a master climber! I'd especially love a cat tree with one of those "lounge basket" cloth bowls." ---Sebastian and Cookies have shown a clear bond and MUST be adopted together.
Sebastian and Cookies can get along with other cats (after a proper introduction) and at times shared space with three adult resident cats at their foster home; however, this bonded duo may do best in a home with no other cats. Because both are easily frightened by loud noises, they would not do well with rambunctious (noisy) toddlers or young children. Sebastian and Cookies have never met a dog but with a proper introduction, quiet respectful dogs would probably be okay.
Sebastian and Cookies are energetic and magnificent little love bugs! They'll bring you joy, laughter, and so many cuddles... if you're waiting for a sign, this is it! Will they be the newest additions to your family?!
