Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Curtis, your next best friend! At 8 years old, Curtis has a great balance of relaxation and playful energy. Curtis is your typical hound when it comes to lounging – he's a professional couch potato who's happiest when someone's rubbing those velvety ears of his. But don't let his relaxed attitude fool you! When mealtime rolls around, those oversized paws start doing their happy dance, and his whole body wiggles with joy. Curtis has discovered his true passion in life: the flirt pole! While traditional leash walks aren't his jam, he gets all the exercise he needs chasing his favorite toy. It's amazing to watch this handsome boy light up with excitement during his flirt pole sessions, those long hound dog ears flopping as he bounds around with pure joy. With his goofy smile and oversized feet, Curtis is impossible not to love. He's the perfect mix of sweet and silly – one minute he's making you laugh with his mealtime enthusiasm, and the next he's melting into your lap for cuddles. His foster family describes him as the ultimate cuddle bug who never misses an opportunity for ear rubs. Other great attributes: he is solidly housetrained, crate trained, good with other dogs (he currently lives with another dog in foster), and he’s highly food motivated (great for training!). Curtis knows sit, down, stay, and he settles quickly in his crate. Don't let Curtis's shelter behavior fool you! Like many sensitive souls, he finds the shelter environment overwhelming and may seem uninterested or barky during initial meetings. But here's the amazing part – the minute this sweet boy steps into a home environment, he transforms. His foster family was amazed at how quickly he decompressed, showing his true nature as a loving, gentle companion almost immediately.
