Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Benjen the fluffy, sweet, chow mix is looking for a not-so-quiet retirement home. Even though he’s 9-years-old, this big guy isn’t letting age slow him down!
Benjen is fully housebroken, great with other dogs, and would likely be fine with cats too. He is very well behaved and is not destructive when left alone at home.
Someone who can take Benjen for regular walks to help him lose some weight would be ideal. The good news is that he loves walks and is great on a leash! He gets the most adorable bouts of big dog zoomies, and loves to run in the yard. He also enjoys tug of war and a good Nylabone chew. Afterwards, he is content to take a nap on a soft bed and snooze the rest of the day away.
Benjen is very outgoing and extremely friendly with everyone he meets, but is typically a little nervous around young children. For this reason, he would do best in a home with adults only or older children who will respect his boundaries.
Benjen is an all around wonderful happy boy and just wants to be your best friend. He is currently in foster care, so if you’re interested in meeting him, you can fill out an adoption application on our website and give us a call to schedule a meet up!
