My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

After overcoming her heartworm treatment, our beloved Honeydew is finally ready for adoption!

This two-year-old beautiful girl will be your best friend and most loyal companion once you earn her trust., Honeydew is 55 pounds of sweetness. She absolutely loves affection and cuddling. She is so gentle, both in taking treats, and on walks. She loves giving paw and often offers her paw without being asked. Honeydew is super easy-going, chill, and so lovable. She seems to only bark when new people come to the house, as she feels protective over her people and home. However, she otherwise has very good manners - never demanding attention. She isn’t a big fan of any toys, but does love treats. Anyone would be lucky to have her and we will miss her dearly when she leaves our foster care! Honeydew needs to be the only dog in the house, but that just means she can give you all her love.  Adopt Honeydew  and  make beautiful memories together.

While waiting for her forever family Honeydew is being fostered in Raleigh, NC

Honeydew is up to date on shots, microchipped & will be spayed upon a clean heart worm bill of health.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require every adopter fill out an adoption application. After the application is reviewed, reference & vet checked, home visit completed and you have been approved, we then will accept a deposit on the dog of your choice and we do require the balance of the donation be paid prior to transport or 48 hours prior to delivery. All our animals are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spay or neutered, microchipped and the microchip already registered to the adopter at time of delivery. Our belief in Heartworm Prevention is so essential to our dogs leading long, healthy and happy lives that we provide a years worth with each dog that is adopted and urge our adopters to get more for future years from us for a small $15 donation to the rescue to help cover costs of the preventative.

Adoption Donations:
$295 Adult Dogs
$395 Puppies
$200 Special Need Dogs

Go meet their pets

All of our animals are in foster homes. Once the application process has been completed, a meet and greet can be scheduled. Depending on the dogs first meet, we may schedule a second greet. We provide all adopters our version of “The two week Shutdown” which we stress and urge our adopters to follow.

More about this rescue

Mission Statement:
The purpose for which this corporation was formed is to provide animals that would otherwise be euthanized a chance at a full and happy life. We rescue animals from high kill shelters in the South, strays and owner surrenders when fosters are available. It is our intent that these animals be rehabilitated both physically and mentally, shown love and compassion, and then be found their forever homes. We are also dedicated to educating the public on the need for proper care for all animals, including but not limited to spay/neuter, vaccines & heartworm prevention. We believe in giving a helping hand and have had only positive Community Outreach outcomes.
